[Review] Tunnel Episode 14 - 16 (End)

Aww. That's a nice touch to the ending.

Tunnel may have stretched my patience in the middle, largely because I'm seeing ten of thousands wild goose chases down that tunnel and yet the detectives still don't learn ( Loud voice but poor execution). Indeed, we have characters with instinctive judgement, but let's get a competent planner into the team please.

Otherwise I'm good with the handling of emotions throughout the series. Sungjae's angst is much felt, and I love the gripping tension he had with Gwangho that slowly turns into a mutual rapport which supports each other. In spite of the constant declaration that Sungjae shall never be his son-in-law, we know Gwangho's just being stubborn. Look at that grin when young Sungjae visits his house.

Yeonho's transformation is another reason that makes this drama brilliant. She was once that robotic girl with zero feelings, and we see this trajectory change for a emotional-richer her. I'm so glad there's still a Sungjae to accompany her when Gwangho has to leave. Ohhhh.

Quite a thriller, but the identity of Ultimate Criminal is easy to score so I think that kills some of the fun. Wait, I still don't get what triggers Gwangho to time leap. How does this mechanism work? If the whole point is to catch Ultimate Criminal, why was he transported back to the present when he was chasing young Ultimate Criminal down the tunnel? Explanation required.
