[New Drama] Yong Pal Episode 1
Ok, I finally get why the viewership for this drama has been soaring for the past two months. Seriously too good for its pilot episode, wow.
I would credit this excitement to Yong Pal (played by Joowon), who alternates between two facets to give us an extremely compelling character. He's no longer the good doctor that obediently sticks to the rules, but rather, challenges them to maneuver the game in his own hands. Of course, we know very soon that he does these for a reason - there's not much options when you're dealing with a sickly sister and a hefty sum of medical bills (ring any bell? We're not on the Nice Guy channel haha). That begins all monetary conflicts and hence forces our hero to pick up his night job as a mercenary doctor in the underworld, busy stitching up peeps who can't show themselves up in hospitals and risk being caught. Oooh why am I reminded of Healer? Heheheheehe. Anyways, this looks like a super promising show, looking forward to finishing it soon!
