[Review] Dream Knight

Interestingly enough, this is quite well written given that it is an obvious commercial drama dedicated to promote Got7. Even more laudable when themes can be packed nicely into a mere 15-min episode each, but still not lose the essence of conflicts and resolutions. Great writing, satisfying emotions (*Note: Just understood from the ending that the main screenwriter has passed away recently, leaving this as her final work. There goes a good writer. T.T)

Well, of course, we're not missing out scenes of idols flaunting their talents (dance, piano, and even cycling skills my gosh -.-), but what differentiates this drama to many other idol-promotional-dramas is that it follows a nice trajectory of every character without losing the focus of the main themes. Everything is accounted for adequately without risking the drag-factor (usually dramas fall into two extremes, either they reveal too little or talk too much), and we are swiftly moved from how each characters meet, conflict, develop, and eventually bond with one another. In fact, I appreciate how the drama doesn't ease its way out by erasing the preexisting rules that either one can survive, and firmly sticks to it till we (tearfully) send our knights away into vaporisation. This is all about principles, you know, drama principles. You hold firmly to your stand, and then we'll abide to your rules.
