At The Temple

It's a mandatory practice every Chinese New Year to visit the temple at Kim Keat Road to "boost our luck", so this year is no exception. Our family lined up with the other followers and kneeled before the countless god statues, waiting patiently/impatiently for the monk to start his chant.

After an eternal waiting the monk is still not in sight.

-Whispered conversation-

Sis (on my left): What happened to the monk? Dropped into toilet bowl is it.

Bro (on my right): No, he's updating his OS.

-Giggles-

Me: Control Alternate Delete. The program is not responding. End now. Oh no he's hanging.

-Monk appears-

Me: Software update is successful.

-Monk starts to chant-

Me: Oh no. 1% completed.

We're just getting less and less serious about this luck boosting ritual already. LOL.
