Junsu's Musical 'December', The Unfinished Song

I underestimated the time needed to get down from SNU mountain, so in the end I was late for Junsu's musical for a big fat 30 minutes. When Grace knew it (I whatsapped her), she was busy calculating how much money I'd wasted lol. Well, initially I was flustered, but later I decided that there's nothing I could do (doomed to miss the front part) so I chose to stroll instead. Then the ushers seemed to be more anxious than me when they saw me and asked me in an exasperate tone to 뛰어. Followed by a VIP express treatment as I was passed from one usher to another, as seen in drama scenes whereby the CEO was showed to his place hahaha. Anyway, when I was finally being escorted to my seat, Junsu apparently had appeared and sung the 调情song played with guitar. Haish.

I don't know if Joowon's Musical was too good (perhaps due to it being a classic?) or Junsu's is not my style, honestly I wasn't wowed by the show after it ended. True enough, apart from Junsu, this musical encompasses a great deal of good singers (their vocals are no joke!), but I find the cast wasted because the storyline was rather lacking. In the sense that it fails to move me, or make me feel the pain the characters are going through. The only part I could acknowledge was the moment Junsu sings, especially the one which he choked in his tears and sang in shearing pain. I could feel his loss, and his longing for his love not to leave him.

If the story could do a better job in delivering the purpose of some characters, perhaps I would have been more convinced. Seriously, I could not understand why they inserted some random scenes that pop out and gibber some rubbish. Don't WASTE time. That's unnecessary, just get to the point. If not we are losing the momentum of the show, you see.

Ok. I think I will just stick to Junsu's concert, not musical. From this I learnt that musical must have good scripts (that's the basic!), and good cast will be an additional bonus. Best if we can have both, duh.

I sat on second floor, second most expensive seat lol. Actually it's a good view just that like always, I couldn't see clearly the actors' expression (WHICH, is an important factor to vet the acting skills), so next time really, I need a front VIP seat if I ever attend another musical.

Lastly, a video on standing ovation lol. The only time to take cameras out legally.

Japan trip post to be up soon! After I replenish my energy haha.
