Waaaah. Ok I didn't see that coming. Most of us should be soaking in tears now with the passing of Jiadong's dad, that's one strong episode to end the week.
Words can't describe how much I love Jiadong's dad and Wanhua's interaction. To an orphan like Wanhua, Jiadong's dad plays a fatherly figure so much desired by him all these years, and when he has finally adjusted to having a daddy who genuinely cares for his wellbeing, fate has to play the cruel joke. My stance that he's suffering a blow no lesser than Jiadong as he weeps bitterly in his dark room. With raindrops lashing outside against the window and silence stretching into the cold night, all I want for the duo is to hold on to each other tightly, not as anyone but a pair of siblings seeking comfort in each other as they mourn for the death of their dearly kin.
In trade for this shocking loss, the reunion with Lixing is greatly toned down and deemed less important now that kinship overpowers love relationship. I don't care if any screeching woman tries to exercise her authority as a paranoid girlfriend or whatsoever (yes you're right to be paranoid), or the holy 'i miss you' in the period of fifteen years. Right now I'm fixing my heart on how Jiadong and Wanhua are picking themselves up from the crumps and dealing their life without the dad as the pillar of support.
By the way a thing to note, Zongnan is back! Wahaa. Of course, how could he miss out the fun in taipei! Has to involve himself in the multi-angles love triangle before it gets too late.
