celebrated the super belaaaaated birthday for janice today =D watched a movie and ate at fish&co, bloated with oil and water and cheesecake now. hah i would want to comment more abt the movie.
MONGA - 艋舺
rating: 8.0/10 (bonus 0.5 point becoz of mark chao)
initially i didnt expect it to be nice, interested only in mark and ethan but not the storyplot. BUT unexpectedly the 142min show doesnt seem to be draggy, in fact the pace is alright but i wont consider it to be action-packed. realise that everytime Mark screams tearfully/stones innocently/cries pitifully, my heart goes out to him (oops). ya one moment i was talking to janice and next moment when mark cries, i am crying myself too. i guess i really cant resist handsome guys' tears. XD
ethan's and mark's performances are really commendable! in my opinion ethan has become a super 实力派actor and mark is gradually becoming one. actually mark has performed remarkably in piziyingxiong le, considering the fact that it was his first acting. this time round he hasnt let my expectations down, hundred thumbs up for 赵又廷!!! im falling more and more for him. YAY!
but i would say the plot is quite complicated. as in i dun really get what message it is trying to convey... it's correct to be gangsters? oh and i seriously suspect there's BOY-BOY love(ethan towards his sworn bro). an unforgettable scene is when ethan speaks to his sworn bro "我做的一切..." i was randomly commenting maybe he will say "都是为了你" (which WILL sound super weird since it is said by a guy to a guy and the atmosphere is 暧昧) and janice replied confidently NO HE WONT SAY THAT LA and lol, 都 是 为 了 你 echoed the whole theatre right after that. see la, actually i din tell yall, im also the director for the show. XD
in all, the show doesnt have the standard typical ending u wan, scenarios u expect or twist u predict, so i think it's worthed a shot. what's more, u get to see hot guys like mark. (IM SO SORRY but i think mark outshines ethan in terms of looks in the movie)
oooooooh o.O I JUST WATCHED A VIDEO OF 志龍(actor's name 鳳小岳). 中英混血的外型，母親是默劇團團長與表演者，父親是音樂家，從小跟著母親旅居各國學習兼修練， 鳳小岳由內而外彰顯出舒服的自在感，在新生代演員中格外出眾。now i think he's not bad too XD
